Welcome to Music Bugs in North Nottinghamshire!

Hello, my name is Gemma and I run classes in the North Nottingham area.

I have recently completed a degree in Education and Music Studies, so I understand how important music is and how musical activities and singing can help develop a child’s social, creative and coordination skills.

Music Bugs classes are suitable for children aged 6 months to 4 years. The 40 minute classes are fun and exciting, we will sing old and new nursery rhymes, counting songs, action songs and experiment with instruments. In this friendly and lively environment your child can make new friends and experience the interactive props including hobby horses, finger puppets, teddies, bubbles and lots more!

My daughter Eloise is only 7 months old, but she was fascinated by the props (especially the floaty scarves!) and we did lots of songs involving bouncing, tickling, clapping etc which held her attention for the entire session. I can see each week she is growing more confident with the other children around her. It's a lovely welcoming atmosphere and there is lots of variety each week to keep the babies and children entertained. See you next week!

Gemma from Music Bugs comes into the Clockhouse Pre-school Centre once a week to do a music session with the 0-2 years and 2-3 year old children. The sessions are fun, lively and interactive. Gemma brings her own music and resources; puppets, musical instruments, the parachute, plus lots more exciting props. All the children really enjoy her sessions.

Me and my son (18months when we first started) have been attending Music Bugs for a few months now and we both really enjoy going. My son even tries to sing some of the songs at home. Gemma is really friendly and welcoming, and any concerns she is always approachable.

A new class will be launching in Mapperley in September. The session will be on Wednesdays at 10am at St James Church. And a new class in Burton Joyce, on Thursdays at 10am at Burton Joyce Methodist Church. And another class in Eastwood, on Fridays at 10am at Eastwood Baptist Church. Book now for your FREE taster session, as places are limited and sessions are filling up quickly.
