Sensory music classes & birthday parties for babies, toddlers & preschoolers
Chapeltown, Elsecar, Wath-Upon-Dearne and Thurnscoe.
Hello, my name is Louise and I am the Music Bugs franchisee for Barnsley, North Sheffield and surrounding areas. I am an Early Years teacher and have 2 children of my own. I first came across Music Bugs with my first child, Jenson who attended classes in Doncaster and we loved them that much that I decided to become a part of them by taking on the Barnsley franchise and running classes of my own. I then had my second child Millie, which is when I took on some wonderful Class Leaders to deliver our weekly sessions.
With 12 years experience as a teacher in Early Years I recognise the impact that music and dance has on early child development. Benefits can be seen in social skills, turn-taking, language and communication skills, physical development and early reading, writing and maths.
At Music Bugs we provide fun, friendly music classes with a wide variety of exciting props including puppets, scarves, pom poms, hobby horses, bubbles and many more! So if you and your little one enjoy singing, dancing and making music come along for some special quality time together.
We currently offer 2 different class types; Baby Bugs and Family Bugs (each class is 45 minutes long).
Baby Bugs classes are for babies from 0 to crawling and are a great way to introduce little ones to new sights, sounds and textures with our multi-sensory approach. Bring your little ones along and meet other new mums in our relaxed classes.
Family Bugs classes are suitable for all little ones aged 0 to 4 with each song being differentiated for the different ages/stages of the children/babies in the class. These sessions are also ideal for parents who have more than one child under 5 where both children can have fun and access all elements of the classes.
I look forward to welcoming you and your child to Music Bugs
Some of the lovely feedback we've received from Music Bugs parents
It’s our favourite part of the week and my son sings the ‘Hello Music Bugs’ song all the way there in the car. Each week is so exciting and varied and we have made some really lovely friends in class

Alfie’s favourite songs are the counting songs as he loves to sing them to his friends at preschool. His confidence has definitely improved since attending Music Bugs and we would wholeheartedly recommend the classes to everyone we meet.
