Classes in Wath, Elsecar, Thurnscoe, Wombwell and Great Houghton
Hi everyone! I’m Lynsey Butcher, and I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new face of Music Bugs Barnsley!
I’m 35 years old and live in Rotherham with my wonderful husband, Paul, and our beautiful two year old daughter, Poppy.
I’m an outgoing, friendly and positive person who loves meeting new people and having a laugh. When I’m not working, you will usually find me shopping, at the theatre, or curled up with a good book.
I have a degree in Performing Arts and have spent the last 12 years teaching English and Drama in secondary schools across Yorkshire. Helping children build confidence, creativity and self-belief has always been at the heart of everything I do.
Now, I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing Music Bugs Barnsley to even more local families. Music Bugs Barnsley offers fun, interactive, sensory music classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, helping little ones learn, grow and develop through music, movement and play.
My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where children can flourish, parents and carers can make wonderful memories, and everyone leaves with a smile.
I can’t wait to meet both familiar and new faces, share lots of exciting ideas, and begin this amazing journey with you all.
Thank you so much for all your support see you at Music Bugs Barnsley soon!
Some of the lovely feedback we've received from Music Bugs parents
We absolutely love our classes at Music Bugs with Lynsey. It’s always a warm and friendly atmosphere and my son loves the different themes, dress up and use of the musical instruments.
The sessions are fun and enable him to explore and engage in different sensory activities. It’s become part of our Monday routine, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Would recommend to anyone.

We absolutely LOVE Lynsey’s Music Bugs it’s the perfect mix of music, imagination, sensory play and a whole lot of fun.
Dressing up and getting stuck into the props, to singing, dancing, exploring and generally going wild to the music, and learning and developing along the way, what more could you want! If your baby/toddler loves music, making noise, dressing up and generally causing adorable mayhem BOOK IT.
