Franchise Opportunity FAQs

We have added answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below. If you have a question that has not been answered here then please don’t hesitate to contact us on info@musicbugs.co.uk

How can I find out if my territory is available?

If you haven’t already done so, fill out our franchise enquiry form and make sure to include your full address and postcode. We can then use that to determine which territories may be available in your local area and provide you with detailed mapping and demographics for that area.

Is the territory for my exclusive use or will I have to share it with another franchisee?

All Music Bugs franchisees are given a generous and exclusive territory. No other Music Bugs franchisees will be permitted to operate classes in your area.

Will I receive any help with interpreting the demographics for my territory?

Yes, we will help you to analyse your demographics and to determine the optimal areas within your territory to launch your classes.

Does the franchise licence allow me to run classes and birthday parties or do I have to purchase a separate licence to run parties?

Your franchise licence allows you to run classes, parties and nursery sessions within your territory. You do not have to purchase additional licences.

Where can I find out more about Smith and Henderson and your franchise awards?

In 2012 Music Bugs were finalists in the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmarking Programme in two categories: Best Mid Sized Franchisor and Best Marketing and Support.

In 2013 and 2014 we achieved ‘Five Star Franchise Satisfaction’ and in 2015 we achieved a score of 97% in the Franchisee Benchmark Survey. Visit Smith and Henderson to find out more about their benchmarking survey.

Can I talk to other franchisees in the network?

Yes, after attending a Discovery Day we encourage all prospective candidates to get in touch with our existing network of franchisees to chat to them about their experiences and to ask any questions you may have.

What does the application process involve?

After filling out our online enquiry form we will check to see if your territory is available before sending you a copy of our prospectus. If you have any questions after receiving the prospectus then don’t hesitate to contact us. Application paperwork can then be forwarded to you if you would like to attend a Discovery Day.

Do I need to have a good singing voice?

You will be leading busy classes full of excited babies and toddlers and so a pleasant and well-projected singing voice is essential. All prospective franchisees will need to submit a recording of themselves singing as part of our application process.

What experience do I need and what qualities are you looking for in your franchisees?

No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given however experience working with young children or experience in a musical environment is advantageous. Our franchisees all come from a variety of different backgrounds but they all have the same personal attributes in common. If you are confident, friendly, professional and ambitious with an interest in child development and play based learning, then we would love to hear from you. You must also be a car/owner driver.

Can I visit some local classes?

Of course. Get in touch with us on info@musicbugs.co.uk and we will introduce you to your nearest franchisee and help you to arrange this.

What happens at the Discovery Day?

Our Discovery Day provides an opportunity for us to meet and for you to meet other key members of our team.

We will provide you with lots of information about the company, our classes and the franchise opportunity and you will have the chance to ask lots of questions. Refreshments and lunch are provided and you are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you on the day.

What initial training will I receive?

All new franchisees will attend a 3 day training course in Wiltshire prior to the launch of their classes.

What support will I receive after the initial training?

The support you receive from Head Office and from your fellow franchisees is ongoing. Head Office is only ever a phone call away and you have access to 24 hour support from your fellow franchisees via our secure support forum. Our annual meet-up is also an opportunity for you to access further training workshops and to network with your fellow franchisees.
