Music Bugs provide fun and interactive music sessions for children aged 3 months to 5 years which are well suited for nursery, crèche and pre-school settings as well as Children’s Centres and under 5’s groups.
Our aim is to provide young children with the opportunity to explore and develop within a stimulating, friendly environment using music and a wide variety of exciting props. The emphasis of our colourful and lively sensory music and movement sessions is on growth, development and socialisation.
A typical session consists of:
- Nursery Rhymes
- Counting songs
- Rhythm songs
- Finger play rhymes
- Knee bouncers
- Music and movement
- Silly Songs
- Action songs
We arrive fully equipped with a large selection of percussion instruments and props and our sessions are structured around the EYFS framework with particular emphasis on Language and Communication, Physical Development, PSED and Expressive Arts.
Our props include:
Hobby Horses (made exclusively for Music Bugs, they wrap around the children’s waist – so no cumbersome wooden pole to trip over!), Finger puppets, Song Mitts, Scarves/Ribbons,Rhythm Sticks, Teddies,Pom Poms, Hand Puppets, Bean Bags, Parachutes, Bubble machines,Percussion instruments (wood blocks, tambourines, maracas, vibra slaps, drums, bells, cymbals, shakers etc.)
We can provide sessions for mixed age groups or split age groups depending on your needs. We can schedule sessions for a duration of 30 – 60 minutes as per your requirements. Our sessions are very flexible and can be tailored, for example, we can offer themed sessions such as numbers and counting or in line with particular topics such as animals. In addition to regular or weekly sessions we can also provide one off sessions or party sessions for occasions or even the end of term
