Sensory music classes for your baby, toddler & pre-schooler in Cambridge and surrounding areas

Northstowe and Eddington

Hello and welcome to Music Bugs!

My name is Anita and I am the franchisee for Cambridge and surrounding areas.

I run happy, fun and engaging music classes that use singing and instruments for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and their grown ups!  I enjoyed being a secondary school music teacher, which also included working with primary aged children, for 10 years prior to the arrival of my own 2 wonderful children.  I love teaching music and am passionate about its benefits for children.  I continue to teach 1:1 instrumental lessons and now love being able to run class music sessions for babies and younger children.

At Music Bugs we provide gently structured play- based sessions, where your child can explore and learn in a musical and multi-sensory environment. Each session has a mixture of lively / calm activities to share and enjoy with your child and will provide you with songs and activities that you can take away with you to entertain and stimulate your little one(s) at home too.

Sessions designed for younger babies encourage development of touch, sight, and off course, sound through music. Sessions designed for older babies and toddlers encourage development of language, co-ordination and fine and gross motor skills.  Whilst, sessions for pre-schoolers continue to encourage development of gross motor skills, language and communication together numeracy skills and identification of colours etc. Sessions for pre-schoolers are also an introduction to music education through exploration of rhythm, timbre and dynamics.

We sing a wide variety of nursery rhymes, counting songs and action songs using a selection of percussion instruments and sensory props which include puppets, counting mittens, teddies, pom poms, floaty scarves, themed parachutes, bubble machines and hobby horses.

Music Bugs will help your little ones to socialise, gain confidence and make friends whilst being a welcoming and friendly environment for the grown ups to make friends too.

I look forward to meeting you and your little ones soon.

Best wishes,

Anita
